Golden Software

     It has come to our attention that one of the mandatory security patches applied to AIS on December 2, 2007, is causing an error when users try to log into AIS or RPT using Golden software.  We have determined that the problem is related to the level of the Oracle client that is running on the PC.

Please review the following if you are having problems with Golden.

ORA-2248 trying to connect using a <= 8.0.5 client
Some users of Golden have received an ORA-2248 (Interoperability between releases) error.

Everyone should check their version of Golden (5.7.0.452) and the version of Oracle client. By clicking on Help --> Connection Diagnostics from the toolbar. The information provided should look like this:

If anyone is receiving this error or has an Oracle client 8.0.5 or below, they should contact AIS to determine the best course of action to upgrade to Oracle Client 8 ver. 8.0.6.0.0
